Virginia Reps Among 200-Plus Members of Congress Opposing Expanded IRS Reporting Requirements

Authored By: Lewis Wood on 10/22/2021

Four Virginia Congressmen have now signed on to various letters opposing expanded IRS reporting requirements - Reps. Wittman, Good, Cline and Griffith.

On Thursday, more than 200 members of Congress wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen re-asserting concerns with a proposal to expand Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting requirements. The letter was led by Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), who led a letter signed by more than 140 members of Congress with similar concerns last month.

Both letters are the result of strong industry-wide engagement with policymakers.
