League Congratulates Lamont Bagby On Successful Run for State Senate

The Virginia Credit Union Leagues congratulates Sen.-elect Lamont Bagby on his election to represent Virginia’s 9^th State Senate District.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Sen.-elect Bagby as he transitions from the Virginia House to the Senate,” says Virginia Credit Union League President/CEO Carrie Hunt.

The senator-elect will serve the remainder of Congresswoman McClellan’s (VA-04) state Senate term, which expires at the start of the 2024 General Assembly session. Bagby also faces a June 20 primary challenge for the Senate seat. An election for the seat will take place in November's General Election. All 140 seats in the General Assembly face election this November.

There will be another special election for the remainder of Bagby’s seat representing the 74^th House District, which includes part of Henrico County.
