League, African-American Credit Union Coalition Offering Scholarship to Attend AACUC Annual Conference; Submit Scholarship Application by Aug. 2
Your League is seeking candidates for the Lynette Smith Scholarship, which benefits a Virginia-based African-American credit union professional or official.
The scholarship provides $2,000 to cover the recipient's attendance at the African-American Credit Union Coalition’s Annual Conference.
A brief scholarship application is available here. Reminder: the deadline to submit your application is Aug. 2.
The scholarship was established in honor of retired TruEnergy Federal Credit Union President/CEO Lynette Smith, a tireless credit union advocate and a champion for the credit union movement at both the state and national levels. She is a past chairwoman of the AACUC.
“We’re proud to support the mission and the good work of the African-American Credit Union Coalition. Through the Lynette Smith Scholarship, we’re helping a dedicated credit union professional or official pursue education, training and networking opportunities that will help them grow as a leader for their credit union and for the industry,” said Virginia Credit Union League President/CEO Carrie Hunt.
