Hampton Roads Emerging Professionals Group Holds Networking Event

The Hampton Roads Emerging Credit Union Professionals met up for the first time this year at Oozlefinch Brewery in Hampton, VA for a networking Happy Hour on April 24th.

Seven emerging professionals attended representing BayPort CU and ABNB FCU.  Along with catching up with each other, the group discussed VACUL’s advocacy efforts with all attendees either deciding to donate to VACUPAC and joining the pin club or having already done so through payroll deduction.

Marc Odom of ABNB FCU created a credit union trivia game for the group to play. While the competition was tight, Vince Nicosia of BayPort CU came out victorious, winning a gas gift card.

The Hampton Roads EPs plan to host events at least quarterly in the region with their next event being either a leadership discussion or a volunteering event.
