CUs, League Meet with Rep. Griffith; Thank Him for Support of Recent CU Legislation

Credit union advocates from ValleyStar Credit Union, InFirst Federal Credit Union, Eastman Credit Union and Truliant Federal Credit Union met with Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-09) today.

Credit union and League representatives discussed interchange issues, the benefits of overdraft protection programs, and the Credit Union Difference. We also thanked him for his support of the Credit Union Board Modernization Act (H.R. 582), which passed the House last month. The congressman signed on as a co-sponsor of the legislation.

Your League and credit unions have meetings planned with the entire Virginia Congressional delegation this week.
