SNELLVILLE, Ga.–The African America Credit Union Coalition will host the first webinar in its 2022 Commitment to Change Conversation Series on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.

The theme of the discussion is “AACUC's Impact - Past, Present & Future.”

“Join us as we reflect on AACUC's trailblazing legacy of shaping the credit union industry and forecast our role in the future of the movement,” the organization said.

Addressing the webinar will be Retired President/CEO of MECU Credit Union Bert J. Hash, Jr., AACUC President/CEO Renée Sattiewhite, and AACUC Chief Experience Officer Dohnia Dorman.

“The Conversation Series is a signature, complementary program of the Commitment to Change: Credit Unions Unite Against Racism initiative and creates a safe space for AACUC members to have ‘real talk’ on the emotional and psychological impact of current events and how to bring about sustainable change,” the AACUC said. “In the ongoing series of virtual conversations, topics have included the impact of police brutality, the fears of being profiled, what it’s like to experience microaggressions, and the reality of trauma that can happen to an individual and/or groups as a result of oppression.”
