William BaneABNB Federal Credit Union welcomes William E. Bane as its new Vice President of Internal Audit reporting to Charles A. Mallon Jr., President and CEO as well as the ABNB Supervisory Committee.

Bane has been working in the financial services industry for over 27 years beginning as a staff auditor in 1989, quickly rising to managerial and senior leadership roles. He has previously served as Vice President of Internal Audit at Tyndall Federal Credit Union in Panama City, Florida, as well as Senior Manager- Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit at Strategic Risk Associates in Richmond, Virginia. These years of proven leadership experience and his commitment to excellence in finance have more than adequately prepared him for his new role at ABNB.

“Bane is an exemplary leader who has worked hard to direct and execute risk-based and full-scope internal audits throughout his career. Every great credit union has a strong internal audit function. He will be asked to develop and execute forward-thinking approaches to protect the credit union and its members by managing risk and fulfilling ABNB’s mission of offering trusted financial services to our members,” stated Mr. Mallon. “The reason ABNB exists is to serve our members, and everything we do at the credit union is done with the success and financial health of our members in mind. We couldn’t be more excited to share that William has joined us on this journey,” concluded Mallon.

Bane holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Marshall University and an MBA from West Virginia University. He is a CPA and a Certified Risk Professional.
