(Richmond, VA, May 12, 2022) – Virginia Credit Union will open its newest branch location in the Carytown Place Shopping Center, 10 N. Nansemond Street, on Monday, June 13.
The Carytown Branch will be located in the same shopping center as The Fresh Market and Petco. At 1,100 square feet of space, it will be smaller than the credit union’s other branches, but offer several enhanced services.
The Carytown Branch will be staffed with Financial Success Advisors who can assist members with anything from simple transactions to applying for loans. The 24-hour ATM Plus will offer several enhanced features including the ability to make payments on cards and loans, transfer funds between accounts, and withdraw funds with bills other than $10 and $20.
“A smaller branch footprint enables us to be available to more members in more parts of the Richmond area. We’re excited about introducing that concept with our Carytown branch,” said Chris Shockley, President and CEO of Virginia Credit Union.
The new branch is Virginia Credit Union’s 20th. In addition to the Richmond area, the credit union also has locations in Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and Farmville.
After June 13, the branch’s hours of operation will be Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
A member-owned financial cooperative with more than 310,000 members, Virginia Credit Union provides a variety of affordable banking services, loans, mortgages, and free financial education resources with a focus on helping people feel more confident about their finances.
