Virginia Beach, VA (February 3, 2022) – Chartway is proud to announce that in addition to being recognized as a “Top Workplace in Hampton Roads” by Inside Business and a “Top Workplace in Utah” by The Salt Lake Tribune in 2021, the Hampton Roads-based credit union has been awarded a 2022 Top Workplaces USA honor by Energage.
Award winners were selected based on team member feedback gathered through an engagement survey, and results were calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance, against industry benchmarks.
“At Chartway, we’re dedicated to unlocking the potential of individuals and families so they can thrive and providing careers that are professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling,” said Brian Schools, Chartway’s president & CEO. "During these extraordinary times, our team has served our members, communities, and fellow team members with resilience, kindness, and heart. I’m prouder than I can say to work alongside people who care for and respect others, which is why we’re honored to be recognized on the national level as a 2022 Top Workplace."
This People-First focused organization offers professional development and opportunities for team members to learn and grow, and team members provide leadership and connected member experiences in branches, the Member Solutions Center, and support teams. Additionally, Chartway supports its communities by sponsoring events and programs, serving on a wide range of industry and trade association committees, partnering with local chamber groups, leading legislative efforts to advocate for financial issues, and providing charitable grants through its We Promise Foundation, which has raised more than $13 million to provide the financial support needed to make dreams and wishes come to life for children facing medical challenges.
