RICHMOND, Va., January 15, 2021 – Bellwood Credit Union is excited to announce the addition of a new branch on the Defense Supply Center of Richmond’s campus.

“Bellwood Credit Union has a more than 60-year relationship with DCSR and is happy to be returning to where it all began,” said Jason Ritter, Senior Vice President of Member Experience at Bellwood Credit Union.

The new branch on the DSCR base consists of a modern banking experience, Shared Branch services and a membership that is open to the entire DSCR workforce.

Opening day celebrations have been pushed back due to COVID restrictions.

Bellwood Credit Union is a division of Henrico Federal Credit Union. Originally, the Q.M. Depot Federal Credit Union, now named Bellwood Credit Union, was chartered in 1951 to serve the government and civilian employees of Defense Supply Center Richmond in Chesterfield County, Virginia. In 2012, Bellwood Credit Union merged with Henrico Federal Credit Union. The Bellwood name was retained to further acknowledge the commitment to DSCR and the surrounding community. Henrico FCU currently provides financial services to those who live, work, worship, or attend school in the greater Richmond area. Today, Henrico FCU has 9 branch locations, serves over 32,000 members, and has more than $300 million in assets.
