League Staff Updates

We are pleased to announce that Mary Amyx is stepping into a new role with your League! Beginning June 1, Mary will serve as the League’s Director of Professional Development and Cooperative Initiatives, a newly created position responsible for all education offered by the League, networking opportunities, and our cooperative endeavors -- including financial education and social responsibility initiatives.

A 20-plus-year employee of the League, Mary currently serves as a Business Development Specialist for the League Service Corporation, where she aids credit unions in finding products and services that benefit member-owners, provide value for the credit union, and represent a competitive advantage.

She’s also played key roles in education planning and logistics for the League Annual Meeting for almost a decade.

“Mary brings a wealth of experience to her new position and exciting new ideas on how we can ensure our education and networking opportunities are meeting the needs and expectations of member credit unions,” said League President Rick Pillow.

Mary will relocate to Richmond later this year.

In other news, League Director of Marketing and Financial Education Dawn Lindley has kindly agreed to remain in her role until July 31! She originally planned to retire May 31. Dawn is helping us tackle a number of critical projects as we work through this transition period. We’re so thankful to Dawn for sticking around a bit longer!
