League Announces Scholarship Winner for AACUC 25th Annual Conference
The African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) will hold its 25th Anniversary Annual Conference July 16-20 at the Atlanta Evergreen Resort.
The Virginia Credit Union League provides a scholarship to a credit union professional or volunteer to attend the conference. This year's scholarship winner is Chartway Credit Union's Melisande Corlett.
"[T]his is an opportunity to network with other credit union professionals who are not only committed to advancing credit union initiatives but who are also interested in initiatives that support financial inclusion, diversity, equity, and investment in communities that need it most," noted Melisande.
The theme of the silver anniversary event is “Legacy,” which reflects the unique path AACUC and its partners have curated in the past quarter century, says Renee Sattiewhite, AACUC president/CEO.
“The League is proud to support the mission and the good work of the African American Credit Union Coalition. Through the Lynette Smith Scholarship, we're helping a dedicated credit union professional or official pursue education, training and networking opportunities that will help them grow as a leader within our industry,” said Virginia Credit Union League President/CEO Carrie Hunt.
