Advocacy in Action: Your League at Work
- Your League remains engaged with lawmakers as we watch and listen for news of any movement on credit union-opposed legislation, including the Credit Card Competition Act (interchange). The Senate continues to work on the appropriations measures to fund the government for the next fiscal year. In the House, it may be back to Square 1 in Republicans’ bid to elect a new speaker.
- The Senate Commerce Committee’s Communications and Media subcommittee held a hearing today on robocalls. This is an issue we continue to monitor given the challenges the Telephone Consumer Protection Act poses to credit unions.
- A House Financial Services subcommittee will look at the Buy Now Pay Later landscape at a hearing tomorrow.
