CUs, League Host Sen. Mark Warner at Capitol Hill Reception
Virginia's credit unions and your League hosted Sen. Mark Warner last night at a reception on Capitol Hill. As part of our advocacy initiatives at GAC, your League has scheduled meetings with the offices of every member of our Congressional delegation.
CUs, League Meet with Rep. Griffith; Thank Him for Support of CU Board Modernization Legislation
Credit union advocates from ValleyStar Credit Union, InFirst Federal Credit Union, Eastman Credit Union and Truliant Federal Credit Union met with Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-09) today to discuss several of our key issues. We also thanked him for his support of the Credit Union Board Modernization Act (H.R. 582), which passed the House last month. The congressman signed on as a co-sponsor of the legislation.
Governance Committee Seeks Prospective Candidates for Three Seats on League Board
The Governance Committee of the Virginia Credit Union League seeks your recommendations for candidates to be nominated for election to the Board of Directors. In 2023, three board seats are open for election.
