Vizo Financial Announces Board Officers Following 2023 Annual Meeting

Greensboro, N.C. (June 26, 2023) – Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union held its 2023 Annual Meeting on June 21, 2023. The event was live-streamed, and members were invited to participate virtually to hear executive/board reports and appointments to the Corporate’s board of directors. 

There were three candidates for three open boards seats, so the following individuals were re-elected during the meeting for three-year terms: Genice DeCorte, CEO of HealthShare Credit Union in Greensboro, N.C.; Mark Volponi, CEO of USX Federal Credit Union in Cranberry Township, Pa.; and R. Scott Weaver, president/CEO of Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union in Spartanburg, S.C.

At Vizo Financial’s board of directors’ reorganization meeting, the board officers remained unchanged. They are as follows: chair, Scott Woods, president/CEO of South Carolina Federal Credit Union, North Charleston, S.C.; vice chair, Jeff Chelius, CFO of Riverfront Federal Credit Union in Wyomissing, Pa.; treasurer, Daniel Berry, CEO of Duke University Federal Credit Union in Durham, N.C.; and secretary, Genice DeCorte, CEO of HealthShare Credit Union in Greensboro, N.C.

In addition, the board reappointed Sue DeStephano, president/CEO of First Capital Federal Credit Union, York, Pa., to serve as an associate director, and appointed one new associate director, Elba Arenas, president/chief experience officer of MC Federal Credit Union, Danville, Pa.

Committee appointments included the following:
Supervisory Committee: Maria LaVelle, CEO of Pheple FCU, Greensburg, Pa.; Amy Lichwa, CEO of Norwin Teachers FCU, North Huntingdon, Pa. and Michal Parker, CEO of Secured Advantage FCU, Simpsonville, S.C.
