Langley for Families Foundation Raises $535K at 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – (June 7, 2023) The Langley for Families Foundation raised over $535,000 in gross profits at its 9th Annual Charity Golf Classic in Williamsburg on May 16. Net proceeds from the event will be granted to Hampton Roads nonprofits in the areas of healthcare, housing and human services, and access to education.
Over 100 golfers were treated to a wonderful day on the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club’s Gold Course, with multiple opportunities for challenges and prizes, including longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one grand prizes. Golden Horseshoe Golf Pro Erick Mellott joined players on the course for a Beat the Pro contest and a chance to win a Titleist TSR driver. Congratulations to tournament winners:
- 1st Place: Mark Eggleston and Team at C&F Bank
- 2nd Place: Shawn Kelley and Team at Segra
- 3rd Place: Dutch Jones and Team at The Supply Room
