Virginia Beach, VA (July 20, 2023) – Chartway is proud to announce that it has welcomed Vanessa Coria (pictured left) as its vice president of communications.

Coria is an accomplished leader with more than two decades of experience in public relations, strategic communication, and journalism that extends to new business development and influencer programs. “We’re excited to welcome Vanessa to the team,” said Brian Schools, Chartway’s president & CEO. “She brings an exciting new dimension to our endeavors. Her unique insights, voice, and dynamic approach will help us elevate the Chartway brand by connecting with members and the communities we serve in meaningful ways.”

At Chartway, Coria is responsible for the company’s communication strategy and initiatives to spur growth and enhance brand reputation. Her Spanish language skills will help build rapport and trust in the Spanish-speaking communities Chartway serves. Prior to Chartway, Coria served as director of public relations for the Meridian Group. There, she worked with a diverse range of clients that included STIHL Inc., Smithfield Foods/Gwaltney, the Port of Virginia, and The Breeden Company, among others. Earlier in her career, Vanessa worked as an anchor/reporter for WVEC-TV in Norfolk, Virginia, where she anchored morning and noon newscasts and produced news stories.
